Tipto has announced details of its first four roadshows since the start of the Covid pandemic.
The travel supplier marketing body will hold four Face 2 Face with Tipto roadshows in July.
These will take place at Crowne Plaza Nottingham on July 5; Norwich City Football Club on July 6; York Racecourse on July 14; and St James’ Park in Newcastle on July 15.
Prior to this, the last Tipto roadshow was held in March 2020. Since then Tipto has also been saved from potential closure by previous parent Menzies Distribution as a result of a move to management company Spirit Marketing & Events, run by events director Lorna Willis-Edwards.
At each roadshow in July agents can meet up to 12 of Tipto’s supplier members and guests in order to make new contacts and learn about offers, top selling tips and product updates.
Changes have been made to the format of the events to minimize movement and contact to meet Covid restrictions, with venues chosen to allow ample space for those attending. The trade marketing body stressed safety and ensuring agents felt comfortable was its “number one priority”.
The roadshows will start at 6pm and include drinks, a two-course dinner, and prizes to be won. Events are free for agents and homeworkers to attend and include free car parking.
Tipto chairman Nick Hughes said: “With safety at the forefront, we are really excited to announce the first Tipto roadshows of 2021 as the members look forward to training and engaging face to face with travel agents and homeworkers once again.
“Given many agents are carefully navigating the way through the current climate and are at varying levels of operation, the Tipto events give both agents and members the dedicated time to collaborate effectively and help build increased knowledge.”
From September, Tipto will start a new season of roadshow events. It is currently in talks with potential new supplier members interested in joining the group.
