Travel Matters offers 15% commission for Scotland wellbeing retreats

Responsible travel agency Travel Matters is offering other agents 15% commission for sales of two wellbeing retreats being hosted in Scotland in September and October.

The two retreats for women will take place in Loch Tay, with the first focused on cold water swimming and accompanied by Guinness World Record freediver Amber Fillary, and the second including insight into outdoor painting with renowned “plein air” artist Susanna MacInnes.

Both will be hosted by Travel Matters founder Karen Simmonds, who started hosting retreats to showcase the benefits of cold and open water swimming in 2021.

The five-day, four-night retreats include all meals provided by a private chef, plus accommodation, supervision from an open water lifeguard, a donation to Trees for Cities and a contribution to a bursary fund to allow an anonymous individual who otherwise would not be able to afford the experience to attend.

Prices start from £1,100 based on three people sharing and also including unlimited soft drinks and all supervised activities. Travel is not included but recommendations can be made.

The Immersive Cold Water Retreat takes place from September 23 to 27, while the Painting & Wild Swimming Retreat takes place from October 7 to 11.

Fillary is a competitive freediver, motivational speaker and artist who holds the female record of 229 feet for swimming under ice while holding breath with no fins or diving suit.

MacInnes is known as the “pindrop painter” and reached the semi-final of Sky Arts’ Landscape Artist of the Year competition in 2023.
