Tui reintroduces beach package holidays to Kenya

Tui has reintroduced package holidays to Kenya to its portfolio.

The operator has put a Kenya beach holiday programme on sale, using third-party flights for the first time.

British Airways and Kenya Airways will operate daily indirect flights to Mombasa from Heathrow, beginning on November 1, with 16 hotels available on the Kenyan coast.

The last time the operator offered Mombasa beach resort packages was in winter 2013-2014, at that time using its own charter aircraft.

Jill Thompson, head of product for Tui UK and Ireland, said the operator was “really excited” about relaunching the destination, adding: “We know Kenya is a true bucket-list destination and we have tours and multi-centre options planned for the future.”

A seven-night, all-inclusive stay at Diani Sea Lodge costs from £1,120 based on two sharing, with flights from Heathrow on November 25.

Thompson said: “Kenya is such a unique destination, offering customers the chance to visit untouched beaches and come face to face with black rhinos and red elephants on adventurous safari excursions.

“The country is home to more than 20 national parks and boasts amazing landscapes like the Great Rift Valley and the Mount Kenya mountain range. It’s also home to Diani Beach, where white sands are skewered with palm trees.”

Tui paused its touring programme to Kenya in September 2021 as the Covid pandemic caused growing uncertainty around international travel. Tui touring holidays from Nairobi are already back on sale.
