Tui trade team holds training day at Hays Travel HQ

The trade team from Tui UK, Marella Cruises and Crystal Ski Holidays visited the Hays Travel head office recently for a training day with brand experiences and prizes.

Workers from the agency’s head office in Sunderland were joined by retail staff and homeworkers for the event – which included the delivery of 400 doughnuts.

It featured a pop-up photo booth for pictures in various locations around the world, with prizes for the best photograph and interactive games with more prizes.

A Facebook live event took place on the Hays Travel Facebook page to announce the winners, with prizes including holiday vouchers, prosecco, team night out and a taster indoor ski session.

Andrew Isherwood, head of trade relations at Tui UK and Ireland, said: “It was fantastic to meet with the team at Hays Travel and share more about what makes the Tui product so unique.

“We enjoyed an après-ski staple Poutine for lunch and gave away prizes. It was great to see Hays Travel colleagues engaged with our team and products to further support them in selling Tui to their customers.”

Jonathon Woodall-Johnston, chief operating officer at Hays Travel, added: “Days like this are an excellent opportunity for our customer-facing colleagues and teams from across the business to deepen their understanding of our suppliers and learn about their latest product updates.

“Tui, Marella Cruises and Crystal Ski arranged a brilliant and educational day that our colleagues have loved being part of.”

Last summer, Tui announced it would be expanding its trade relations team and wooing independent agents to boost its sales.
