Turkish tourism authorities have hailed a 16.6% increase in the UK market in 2024.
A total of 4.4 million UK travellers visited in the country over the course of the year, with 1.8 million arrivals between January and June.
This was boosted by a further 196,000 visitors from Ireland.
Overall, Turkey reported a 9.8% year-on-year increase in visitor numbers to 62.3 million in 2024, a figure 20.3% ahead of the final pre-pandemic year in 2019.
The numbers surpassed an official target of 60 million, set early in 2025, and a stretch target of 61 million set in October.
Russia, Germany and the UK remain Turkey’s top three source markets, while visitors generated £49.3 billion in tourism revenue, 8.3% more than the previous year
Average stay was 10.7 days, with revenue per visitor standing at £784.
