European holiday park specialist Al Fresco Holidays has added two sites to its range for 2022.
The Camping ‘t Hop park in the Netherlands can be reached by car after a ferry ride from Harwich to Hook of Holland, while a new five-star option in the south of France, the Domaine de la Yole campsite (pictured), is close to Béziers airport in the province of Languedoc.
Holidaymakers at the Camping ‘t Hop park can swim in the indoor pool or the nearby Slotermeer lake. The site also offers bike hire and facilities such as a large playground and animal farm.
The Domaine de la Yole campsite has its own vineyard and farm, plus four pools, waterslides, and a sandy beach nearby.
Another French holiday park, Les Prairies de la Mer, returns to the Al Fresco range in 2022 after sales were paused in 2021.
Located on the French Riviera, it has two lagoon pools and spa with an outdoor jacuzzi, plus activities such as horse riding, windsurfing, tennis and archery.
Al Fresco Holidays said demand for its European park-based holidays is “soaring” thanks to the relaxation of travel rules in the UK and Europe.
The tour operator features more than 50 destinations across France, Spain, Italy, Austria, Croatia and the Netherlands.
In December, it conducted research among 1,676 previous customers and enquirers and found that 60% of respondents said they are likely to book more foreign travel this year than in 2021.
A seven-night, self-catering stay at La Vallee park in Normandy, arriving June 11, costs from £502 for a two-bedroom Azure mobile home, which sleeps up to six.
The park is 40 minutes from the ferry terminal at Caen, where Brittany Ferries operates a daily service to and from Portsmouth. Transport can be arranged through Al Fresco Holidays.
