Amadeus River Cruises’ new ship, Amadeus Cara, will enter service next year.
The 163-passenger vessel will operate on the Danube, Rhine and tributaries.
The ship’s introduction will make the fleet one of the youngest and most modern in Europe, the company claimed.
Features include a newly-developed air filtration system which provides a two-stage cleaning “proven to achieve excellent results, even with Covid-19 virus particles and bacteria”, according to the line.
The 135-metre-long ship’s first sailing is an eight-day Rhine cruise between Basel and Amsterdam departing on June 10, 2022, with prices starting at £1,686.40.
UK product and sale manager Kirsty Reid said: “The new ship in 2022 will not only serve as much needed extra capacity increase for the great demand for our high quality river cruises, but is also a promise to our passengers that we will continue to offer one of the most modern fleets in the five-star segment.”
