Classic Collection marks 35 years of trading with special trade incentive

Classic Collection Holidays is marking 35 years of trading tomorrow (Wednesday) with an anniversary trade incentive.

Agents making bookings until the end of the month for travel between November 1 and April 30 next year will earn £35 in addition to regular incentives.

The operator is currently sold by more than 3,000 agents.

Classic Collection Holidays was founded in 1988 by Arthur Thomson selling holidays to Madeira and the Balearic and Canary islands.

Under its next boss Nick Munday, the company grew to become a business-to-business provider of short-haul luxury holidays. It was one of the top 100 fastest growing privately owned companies of any size and sector in the UK in 2009.

Following acquisition in 2018, the management has overseen the introduction of long-haul, and a comprehensive repositioning rebrand.

Agency sales and marketing director Si Morris-Green said: “Classic Collection has come a long way from the ‘upmarket holidays’ to Madeira, Majorca, Tenerife, La Palma and La Gomera that we started to sell in 1988.

“Nowadays our portfolio of worldwide luxury holidays and escorted tours reaches more than 90 destinations in over 30 countries. We’ve been awarded more than 70 travel industry accolades and have been recognised as ‘world class’ by the Institute of Customer Service.

“As part of our celebrations we’re taking the opportunity to thank and reward our agent partners for their invaluable support throughout the last three and a half decades with a 35th birthday incentive. We’re adding an amazing extra £35 incentive per booking, on top of all standard incentives.”

He added: ‘To celebrate the milestone we’re treating more than 80 members of our staff and some of our hotelier suppliers to a party at our recently refurbished HQ in Worthing.

“We’ll also be marking the occasion with 60 agent partners in Crete at the Classic Awards from 10 to 13 October.

“Trusted advice, exceptional personal service and mutual respect are the values with which we have always endeavoured to serve the travel community.

“With further investment and innovation planned, we are looking forward to a future in which we will strive to enhance the vital relationships with our travel agent partners and our mutual customers, for many years to come.”
