The first long-haul fam trip to be organised by Not in the Guidebooks will see eight agents visit Costa Rica.
The 10-night itinerary takes place from June 16, with applications available via the newly-certified B Corp company’s website.
Successful agents will be notified if they have been accepted for a place on the trip by March 31.
The tour is being led by Not in the Guidebooks founder and chief executive Carol Savage but does not include international flights.
However, agents will stay in “eclectic premium accommodation” including eco lodges, glamping hotels and villas during the 11-day trip which includes Tortuguero National Park and Santa Juana Lodge and Nature Reserve and Costa Rican capital San Jose.
Savage said: “Agents will benefit greatly from coming on this trip. Firstly, they will get the chance to totally immerse themselves in one of our signature experience-led trips, which will enable them to offer these itineraries much more knowledgeably to their customers when they return.
“And secondly, they will get to see the extraordinary sights of Costa Rica and all it has to offer as an up-and-coming long-haul destination.”
She added: “With its active volcanoes, dense jungles, incredible wildlife and deserted beaches there is so much to do and see in Costa Rica, and I have no doubt that this trip will leave agents with some of the most memorable travel experiences they’ve ever had, all curated by our expert local hosts who are truly passionate about not only showing the natural highlights of the country, but also the lesser-seen, local side that so many tourists miss.”
