Cunard releases 2024 sailing programme

Cunard has released details of its summer 2024 sailings including the delayed introduction of new ship Queen Anne.

The programme, covering departures between April 2024 and January 2025, goes on general sale on December 7.

More than 190 cruises new across 90 destinations worldwide feature, including the revised maiden voyage of Queen Anne on a seven-night sailing from Southampton to La Coruna and Lisbon on May 3.

The debut of the new 3,000-passenger ship has been delayed from January 2024 due to supply chain issues.

After its first cruise, Queen Anne will depart on a 14-night itinerary to the Canary Islands before travelling around the British Isles, taking in in Scotland and Ireland, as well as Cunard’s founding home port of  Liverpool.

The maiden season will see Queen Anne also sail from Southampton to the Mediterranean, Scandinavia, the Canary Islands, and the Norwegian fjords, visiting more than 60 destinations in 16 countries.

Queen Mary 2 will continue to maintain Cunard’s 182-year tradition of transatlantic travel, undertaking 20 crossings between Southampton and New York.

The ship will also sail to Scandinavia for the Northern Lights and the Caribbean for the 2024 festive season.

Queen Victoria will spend summer 2024 in the Mediterranean, offering over 75 fly-cruise itineraries to Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Montenegro, and Croatia on a series of 7, 14 and 21-night sailings departing from Barcelona, Civitavecchia (Rome), Trieste, Hamburg and Istanbul.

Queen Elizabeth will return to Alaska with its schedule to be released in the coming months.

The overall sailing programme sees ships spend more time in ports with late evening departures and overnight stays in places such as Reykjavik, Tromso, Rotterdam and Quebec.

Sture Myrmell, president of Cunard parent Carnival UK, said: “Summer 2024 is a particularly exciting time for Cunard as our new ship Queen Anne joins the fleet.

“We’re delighted that our quartet of queens will be visiting a variety of awe-inspiring destinations around the world.

“With more overnight stays and longer days in port on offer, we’re giving guests the opportunity to really immerse themselves in the local culture at their leisure.

“On top of that, guests can look forward to enjoying our unique onboard experience, which offers outstanding service and the freedom to relax in pure luxury.”
