Former Saga travel division chief executive Jeannette Linfoot has become a specialist travel advisor for executive search firm Howgate Sable.
The firm has a 30-year history in senior level recruitment in the travel, tourism and aviation sectors and has worked with many household name brands to appoint key board members and senior executives.
The company opened its first overseas branch earlier this year in the Middle East following an increase in international briefs.
Linfoot has held positions at Tui, Thomas Cook, First Choice and Saga, which she left in 2018 after two years.
She will work with Howgate Sable’s travel team, led by partner Nick Irving, to support the firm’s clients in their hunt for new senior talent.
Her experience in travel and tourism will dovetail with Irving’s background in aviation and airlines.
Irving said: “The travel and tourism sector has experienced a turbulent few years thanks to Covid-19, and the impending cost of living crisis is likely to heap further pressure on organisations. It’s vital that businesses in the sector invest in the right leadership to help them in their recovery.
“Jeannette has many years’ experience in senior roles in the travel and tourism sector and brings a wealth of on-the-ground knowledge, which in turn helps our clients in their search for the right person to propel their business forwards.”
Linfoot added: “The Howgate Sable name is well-known among senior decision-makers in the travel and tourism sector – and for good reason. I’ve worked with Nick for many years and I am thrilled to be joining his team in a formal advisory capacity.”
