Explore’s agency partners exceed targets in record year

Explore’s agency partners all exceeded individual targets in the year to October.

This helped the adventure operator achieve the biggest year of sales in its 42-year history.

The adventure operator increased year-on-year trade revenue by 95% and passengers by 71% in the 12 months to October 31.

Explore continues to grow its trade team with a new business development manager appointed last month plus a live vacancy for an agency sales support executive to further support its growing travel agent community.

The figures were disclosed as 2024 Unforgettable Adventures brochure was published in the wake of a brand refresh by the operator.

Tours to the Galapagos, northern Japan, India, Cappadocia and foodie trips to Sicily (pictured) and southern France have been introduced.

The company is also highlighting its best-selling discovery, walking and cycling tours in the 2024 programme.

Managing director Michael Edwards said: “We’re super excited to launch our latest brochure, which looks absolutely fantastic in our brand new look.

“It’s been a huge year for Explore – our biggest year of sales yet – but we’ve also opened a new office in Australia, launched the Explore Foundation and won two sustainability awards. 2024 promises to be even better.

Agency sales manager Philippa Baines added: “Travel agents and customers alike love our brochures and we continue to produce them each year – our new Unforgettable Adventures and Family Adventures for 2024 has an exciting new feel to it.

“From our classic discovery trips to food and drink adventures plus plenty of walking and cycling holidays, it’s such an inspirational read.”
