Cruise and stay holidays have been introduced in the second year of Gold Medal’s Florida Parks & Beaches brochure.
The move follows sister brand Cruise Plus seeing 36% year-on-yeargrowth, with Florida accounting for an 18% share of this.
A dedicated section in the new 116-page 2024-25 Florida Parks & Beaches programme is now set aside for cruise and stay holidays.
The brand is giving six agents the chance to join a fam trip to the new Universal Epic Universe, in partnership with Universal Orlando Resort and Virgin Atlantic and Delta Air Lines.
Five places will be offered to agents who register a Florida package with Gold Medal by November 21 with one wild card place being awarded at the end of the campaign.
The operator introduced its first specific Florida brochure for 2023-24.
Head of long-haul product Deborah Wadhams said: “This was the perfect time for us to be introducing our Florida Parks & Beaches brochure for agents to excite and inspire their customers.
“We have seen our average booking value to the destination increase year on year, and currently over 25% of our Florida bookings are being booked for out-of-date range, showing that Florida holidays continue to be in demand.
She added: “The highly anticipated Universal Epic Universe is set to open in 2025.
“This new theme park will offer a transformational experience that will immerse guests in multi-sensory environments and innovative technology, so we are delighted to be offering agents the chance to visit with us.”
