India cruise and rail tour part of expanded Uniworld Exotics programme

The first cruise and rail tour in India and a new family itinerary in Egypt have been added by Uniworld Boutique River Cruises as part of its Exotics programme for 2023.

Uniworld is teaming up with Maharajas’ Express to offer a new 16-day journey through India.

The trip combines seven nights’ sailing on the vessel Ganges Voyager II from Kolkata with a luxury private train journey through the Golden Triangle and Rajasthan to Mumbai, spending an additional two nights in Oberoi Hotels in New Delhi and Mumbai.

Departing on October 28, 2023, prices start at £15,089 per person sharing after early booking discount valid until December 15.

The company’s family-focused Generations programme is being expanded with three departures in Egypt in December next year.

The trips combine seven nights on the all-suite River Tosca sailing from Luxor with a four-night stay at The Nile Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Cairo.

Prices for the Egypt Generations trips lead in at £5,579pp after the early booking discount.

A further update to Uniworld’s Exotics programme for 2023 an extension of a Vietnam and Cambodia itinerary to 15 days with the  addition of two days in Hanoi at the start or end of the journey.

Uniworld president and chief executive Ellen Bettridge said: “We are excited to expand two of our most popular offerings – Cruise and Rail and Generations – into our Exotics portfolio for the first time in 2023.

“Many of our guests are seeking long-haul bucket-list experiences next year, while others want to spend precious time travelling as a family or multi-generational group, so introducing a truly incredible cruise and rail trip through India and an itinerary packed with family fun and the historical wonders of Egypt seemed like a natural step.

“We constantly strive to anticipate guests’ needs and innovate accordingly, and we know these new itineraries are really going to resonate.”
