Jules Verne brings in new marketing chief ahead of rebrand

Richard Adams has been named head of marketing at specialist small group operator Jules Verne ahead of a rebrand next year.

The former Hurtigruten UK head of marketing, whose experience also includes Great Rail Journeys and Collette, replaces Prini Patel, who is leaving Jules Verne after 20 years.

He will be in charge of creating and executing consumer and trade marketing strategies to promote the company’s tours.

Managing director Debbie O’Neill said: “In our 45th year, it has never been more important that our marketing acknowledges our heritage story, whilst simultaneously showcasing why our innovative small group escorted tours are so distinctive and appealing to our customers.

“Leaning on Richard’s expertise to take the business through a rebrand in 2024, we’re looking forward to an exciting journey that will see the brand strengthened and enhanced next year and beyond.

“Jules Verne will always be a people-led business and I am personally energised by Richard’s know-how, drive and his passion for making real connections with those around him.”

Adams added: “Jules Verne has an enviable reputation within travel and is a company I have long-admired throughout my career.

“The opportunity to shape its future is both an inspiration and a privilege. I am thrilled to be joining Debbie and the team at a time when the marketing direction for the brand is open and ambitions for reaching new customers and partners is being mapped for the coming years.”
