Magari Tours launches 2025 programme as it joins Aito

Italian specialist Magari Tours has brought out its 2025 programme as it announces it has joined trade association Aito.

The trade-only tour operator – a brand of Kent-based Success Tours – has increased its focus on Lombardy, Puglia, Umbria, Sicily and Tuscany for next year, using locations overlooked by more mainstream itineraries.

Magari Tours, which started working with agents earlier this year, offers immersive and fully escorted trips with a maximum of 19 passengers.

The programme features hotels where food, authenticity and sustainability are key offerings and offers tours on selected dates mainly in the spring and autumn, when the destinations are most appealing in terms of temperature and produce.

Director of sales and product Tony Flanagan said the programme was timely, coming as the operator received encouraging feedback from agents to its initial launch and as it became a member of The Specialist Travel Association (Aito).

Flanagan appealed to interested agents to get in touch and said he was keen to co-host customer events and provide product training.

He said: “Having spent the last few months on the road meeting agents and attending some of their client events, we’ve been really encouraged by the positive response to the product.

“Supported by our recent Aito accreditation, now the 2025 programme is out there and ready to book we’re looking forward to working with agents to fulfil the tours.”

Aito has outlined plans in recent years to grow its membership from 100 to 150 operator members by 2026 as part of a strategic plan to increase the profile of small and medium sized businesses.

“I am delighted to welcome Success Tours to the Aito family,” said Aito head of membership Emma Taylor, adding: “Their business ethos and forward-thinking strategy align perfectly with Aito and our specialist travel agents.

“The current surge in membership demand highlights the significant benefits Aito offers to SME businesses in the travel industry, including both tour operators and specialist travel agencies.”

Magari Tours’ new programme leads in at £1,995 for the six night Essence of Lombardy break, including return flights from Heathrow to Milan, six nights at the four-star Miramonti Resort Hotel and Spa, selected meals, and a range of experiences.

These range from visits to rustic villages, a pasta making class, wine and food tastings at agritourism farms and wineries plus trips to Bergamo (pictured) and Brescia.
