Marriott International has added brand responsibilities to the roles of two members of its EMEA senior leadership team.

Leighton previously focused on communications for the hotel company, with Watson concentrating on digital and marketing activity.

Neal Jones, Marriott International’s chief sales and marketing officer EMEA, said he was delighted that Leighton and Watson were taking on additional leadership responsibilities across the company’s 31 brands.
Their work will include brand strategy and execution, marketing and activation, and standards and performance.
They will also try to drive awareness in key source markets, said Marriott International, while supporting the development team as the hotel portfolio grows across the EMEA area.
Jones said: “At Marriott International, we are focused on investing in associates and developing talent across the organisation, and these appointments underpin this commitment.
“Both Andrew and Helen have extensive experience in their fields, and will be brilliant leaders for our extraordinary portfolio of 31 brands.
“On behalf of the entire company, we wish them both the very best in their new roles.”
