MSC Cruises ship repositioned away from Red Sea

MSC Cruises has repositioned a ship in the Mediterranean after being withdrawn from the Red Sea this winter due to the Israel-Gaza conflict.

MSC Orchestra will operate from Valencia running seven-night sailings from December 16 until April 19, 2024.

The new programme has been introduced to replace Red Sea itineraries that had been cancelled due to the proximity of some of the ports of call to Israel and restrictions in place in some bordering countries.

The line said that “the safety of its passengers and crew is always its upmost priority and during an evolving situation it will continue to monitor the situation and modify ship itineraries if necessary”.

The revised schedule will see the ship make calls into Cagliari, Sardinia; Civitavecchia for Rome, Livorno for Pisa and Florence;  Marseille and Palma before returning to Valencia.
