Neilson makes TV advertising debut

Beach club operator Neilson is to advertise on TV for the first time.

The TV commercial was shot at the company’s Messini and Buca Beach Clubs in Greece earlier in the summer.

Chief executive David Taylor told customers the advert “really encapsulates” what a Neilson Beach Club holiday is all about.

The initiative follows a new positioning for Neilson with a ‘Good Energy’ tagline since May.

Taylor said: “Our old strapline ‘Relax as hard as you like’ has served us very well over the years, but we felt it was time for a change especially as the resounding feedback we always get from customers is how good our holidays make you feel.

“Since the Covid pandemic we have been focussing on improving the quality and delivery of all aspects of our Beach Club holidays, and this is working well as we are seeing our best-ever customer satisfaction scores and customers coming back on holiday with us more frequently.

“But, as many of you will know, before the pandemic Neilson was a bigger business, and with the business in good shape, we are looking to grow again.

“This means investing in marketing to build awareness as we are still one of travel’s best-kept secrets.

“So, we are very excited that we have decided to go on TV for the first time and are busy planning our campaigns for 2024, but of course that meant we needed a TV ad, so earlier this summer we shot our first-ever TV commercial at our Messini and Buca Beach Clubs.”

The operator has also teamed up with Channel 4’s ‘First Dates’ presenter Fred Sirieix as ‘Good Energy Officer’ to highlight health and fitness.
