Off Broadway Travel plans to double homeworking division by end of 2023

Off Broadway Travel plans to double its homeworking division by the end of 2023.

The agency hired its first homeworker prior to the pandemic, and has grown the team to five within the last two years.

It now plans to take on two more by the end of 2022, and grow to 10 by the end of next year.

Owner Tricia Conroy Smith said: “We went into the pandemic with one homeworker and we are walking out with five which is a testament to how hard we all worked during Covid, working everyday and talking to our clients the whole way through.

“By the end of 2022 we are hoping to have seven homeworkers, which we want to grow to 10 by the end of 2023.

“I definitely think it’s achievable – all our homeworkers have been hired through word of mouth, so we have grown completely organically and developed such a lovely team.

“Our homeworkers are travel experts and are very qualified.”

The agency is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, and will throw a party for agents to celebrate.

Conroy Smith said: “We want to treat the trade this year to thank them for everything they have done during what has been such a tough time for the industry.

“We are doing a trade-only party at a golf club and we’ve invited all our tour operators and all the agents that our staff have travelled with over the years.

“There are no clients allowed so the trade can really let its hair down without worrying about the consequences!”
