Solmar adds Greek mainland to summer portfolio

Solmar Villa Holidays has added properties in mainland Greece to its summer programme.

The operator has contracted 25 villas on the Ionian coast, on a strip of western Greek mainland.

They are located in the resorts of Parga, Preveza and Sivota Bay, joining Kos, Ibiza and the Amalfi coast in Italy as new destinations, adding to 1,500 properties the company also offers across Europe and the Mediterranean.

Chief executive Julie Blake said: “It’s easy to see why the Ionian Coast is known as Greece’s Amalfi, so I’m delighted that we’ve been able to add a superb collection of Ionian villas to our brochure.

“Although it’s part of mainland Greece, the coastline has an island vibe and a spectacular landscape of dense forests, dreamy lagoons, and mountain villages. I think our customers are going to love it.

“Our move into the Ionian coast is part of a significant growth plan for Solmar which we are implementing this year, but our expansion won’t mean any compromise of the quality we are famous for.

“All of our villas are of the highest quality, with private pools and within a short distance of the resort. We will always carry out safety checks and we continue to employ representatives in resort to make sure our customers have the reassurance of someone close by.”
