Universal Studios Hollywood to reopen from April

Universal Studios Hollywood has announced it will reopen to guests from Friday, April 16.

The theme park said most rides will be operational, but some will not reopen until a later date, in order for the park to adhere to US government restrictions, which currently prohibit anyone from outside of California visiting.

Capacity limits will be enforced along with physical distancing, and face coverings will be mandatory. Guests’ temperatures will be taken on arrival with anyone recording over 38C refused entry. Eating and drinking will only be permitted in designated areas and contactless payment is preferred.

Until further notice, guests with unredeemed tickets purchased prior to April 8, 2021 will need to make an advance reservation online for their visit dates.

Two new rides – The Secret Life of Pets:  Off the Leash! and Jurassic World — The Ride – are set to debut.

“We are incredibly thrilled to finally be able to open Universal Studios Hollywood, return team members to work and welcome guests back to enjoy our amazing rides,” said Karen Irwin, president and chief operating officer at Universal Studios Hollywood.

“It has been a very challenging year and we are overjoyed to have arrived at this moment.”
