A-Rosa River Cruises has recruited Sharon Wilson as its regional sales manager for the north.
Wilson will aim to increase brand awareness, boost agents’ sales and offer trade training for the German river cruise line.
She will also give updates on A-Rosa’s latest developments and products.
Wilson (pictured) will report into A-Rosa’s UK head of sales, Stephen Joyner. Her role covers the north of England, Scotland and Ireland.
She spent more than 25 years at Royal Caribbean in various roles including key account manager and senior training executive.
Her most recent role was at Jet2holidays, working as a sales executive covering Scotland and Cumbria.
Joyner said: “Sharon’s expertise in the industry, combined with her excellent training skills, will be invaluable to us as we work with agents to promote our products and tell our incredible story.
“The travel trade remains at the very core of our business strategy here in the UK.
“As the travel industry continues to show positive signs of recovery, this new appointment couldn’t come at a better time, enabling us to expand our reach and drive sales going forward as people start to holiday again.”
Wilson said the job was “a hugely exciting opportunity”. She added: “I can’t wait to get involved in all things river cruise.”
The line is also looking for a regional sales manager to cover the south of the country and join the three-person UK sales team led by Joyner.
