Barrhead Travel opened a new store in Dundee’s Overgate shopping centre.
The agency, which opened on January 22, has replaced Barrhead’s Dundee premises which opened on the city’s High Street in 2007.
Barrhead said the move was due to the ‘robust footfall’ offered within the shopping centre.
Six agents will work at the shop.
Jacqueline Dobson, president of Barrhead Travel, said: “Opening our new store in Overgate comes at a time when the services of a trusted travel expert are high in demand.
“Our Dundee team has been helping locals plan dream escapes for almost 15 years and are excited to embark on their new chapter in the city’s premier shopping destination.
“Holidays for 2022 are booking quickly with destinations like Tenerife, Orlando, and New York proving to be firm favourites for Scottish holidaymakers this year.”
Malcolm Angus, Overgate’s centre manager, said: “There certainly appears to be a surge in consumer appetite to travel and it feels like the holiday industry is entering 2022 with a more optimistic outlook.”
Barrhead Travel, headquartered in Glasgow, currently has more than 85 branches throughout the UK including its managed service travel partners (MSTPs)
