Celebrity Cruises celebrates top-performing agents

Celebrity Cruises has celebrated its top-performing agencies at its tenth Travel Agent Appreciation Awards.

The cruise line held the ceremony at Aqua Shard (January 16) in The Shard with more than 120 agents attending, alongside Celebrity’s trade, marketing and sales teams.

Line president Laura Bethge sent congratulations to agents over video, thanking them for contributing to “the best year in our company’s history”.

The awards were hosted by Claire Stirrup, UK & Ireland sales director, and head of sales Nic McNeish.

The line also honoured two individuals:

  • Sandra Corkin, Oasis Travel

Speaking to agents in the room, Celebrity Cruises EMEA vice-president Giles Hawke, said: “Last year we had the best year ever in our company’s history beating record after record.

“We are delighted and we know a lot of that is down to hard work of all of you.”

He added business booked through travel partners in 2024 grew compared to 2023, and that going into 2025 it was going to be “looking for bigger and better” and expecting “much more significant growth” in 2026.

Hawke outlined several milestones for the brand in 2025, including the launch of its fifth Edge series vessel Celebrity Xcel and plans for its biggest ship visit programme to date.
