Cruise.co customers have named the Caribbean as their “dream overseas New Year’s Eve destination” in 12 months’ time.
The cruise specialist revealed that more than half its customers would choose a cruise in the Caribbean, where temperatures average between 26C and 29C during the winter months.
Most major cruise lines call into destinations such as Jamaica, the Bahamas, Bermuda, Antigua and St Kitts and Nevis at this time.
Almost a quarter of respondents opted for second-placed Sydney, while New York came third in the OTA’s poll.
Nearly 500 customers were quizzed on where they wanted to spend New Year’s Eve in 2022.
Deputy managing director Tony Andrews said: “The Caribbean continues to retain its appeal as the perfect winter warmer.
“It’s the clear dream December 31 destination for UK cruise guests, who are setting their sights on its glorious sunshine, picture-perfect surroundings and welcoming hospitality.”
