Hays Travel has been ranked 52 out of 850 businesses across Europe in a Diversity Leaders survey.
The latest Financial Times-Statista list recognises 850 businesses on gender, age, ethnicity, disability and sexual orientation in the workplace.
Hays Travel ranked within the top 6%.
This year’s Diversity Leaders were identified between April and August through an independent survey across 16 European countries. Of the companies with eligible scores from the 15,000 assessed, the 850 businesses with the highest scores made the final list.
The third annual FT survey is published at a time when changing working patterns brought on by the pandemic have highlighted discussions around inclusivity.
The study of more than 100,000 employees assesses employees’ perceptions of their companies’ inclusiveness or efforts to promote various aspects of diversity. These include gender balance, openness to all forms of sexual orientation, race and ethnicity, disability and age.
Hays Travel people manager Peter Stabler said: “Hays Travel has a rich family heritage and strong belief in diversity and inclusion for all.
“Of particular merit is our commitment and investment in young people.
“Our exemplary apprenticeship programme, supported by our learning and development team, enables individuals to reach their full potential with many of our apprentices progressing on to bigger roles in the business. Our colleagues enjoy long-lasting and rewarding careers where they can grow and be part of a family.
“Our colleagues who contributed to the Financial Times diversity survey have ranked us highly, which is testament to our efforts as a diverse and inclusive employer.”
Georgina Earley, the agency group’s people experience partner, added: “Our employees’ having a positive experience at work means everything to us, and we pride ourselves on our inclusive values.”
