Ice Travel Group eyes growth with new chief marketing officer

Ice Travel Group has appointed Steve Seddon as chief marketing officer to help its TravelSupermarket and icelolly.com brands with their “ambitious” growth targets.

Seddon will start on January 1, 2023, joining from On The Beach, where he has been marketing director for the last three years.

He has more than 20 years of senior marketing experience with travel brands such as Tui, Shearings, Monarch Airlines, Virgin Trains, Kuoni and Stagecoach.

Reporting directly to chief executive Richard Singer, Seddon will be responsible for the comparison websites’ strategic approach to marketing, developing the brands and working with the commercial and product teams.

Singer said: “He has an excellent record of building brands, with senior expertise in CRM, insights, content, social, digital marketing and media engagement.

“Following significant growth in 2022, 2023 is set to be an exciting time for Ice Travel Group as we look to raise the profile of TravelSupermarket and icelolly.com.

“Steve’s role will be pivotal to achieving our ambitious growth targets.”

Seddon added: “I’m a long-term admirer of both brands and I look forward to joining a talented executive and marketing team at an exciting moment for both brands as we scale further.

“I am looking forward to driving our customer propositions forward; enabling customers to easily find the best holidays at the best value, and from the best holiday companies, at a time where holidaymakers need our assistance more than ever.”
