Incoming Princess Cruises vessel Sun Princess will call into Southampton during its maiden European season in September 2024.
The first liquefied natural gas-powered ship in Princess’ fleet will dock in the UK port on September 22 and September 23, after launching in February 2024.
Eithne Williamson, Princess Cruises UK and Europe vice-president, said: “It will be the first time a new ship in the Princess fleet has called into a UK port during a maiden season in more than 10 years.

“Sun Princess will also be our first ship to be powered by eco-friendly liquefied natural gas, just one of a host of ways we are honouring our commitment to sustainable operations.”
Although the first three Sun Princess departures have gone on sale, the line will release the rest of the programme – including the ex-Southampton itinerary – on November 9.
The 21-deck ship (pictured) will feature 29 restaurants and bars plus more than 1,500 balcony staterooms.
Passengers can also have the Princess Medallion “experience” when sailing on the MedallionClass vessel.
MedallionClass permits guests to swifter embarkation, Wi-Fi, onboard navigation, cabin entry and food and drinks to be ordered and delivered.
