Not Just Travel and its recruitment arm, The Travel Franchise, are ranked as the highest travel franchise in an annual league table of UK franchises.
The company is a new entrant for Franchise Direct’s fifth annual Top 100 Franchises for the UK, making its debut in 10th position.
The top spot three spots are taken by Costa Coffee, Subway and McDonalds, with seven out of the top 10 being food franchises.
Paul Harrison, co-founder of Not Just Travel, said: “Shooting straight to number 10 and beating big brands like Vodafone [12th] is testament that our franchise is truly innovative.
“A lot of things were taken into consideration including our business plan, innovation and a commitment to training and support which has all helped our franchisees make record holiday bookings and commission in 2023.
“Our highly profitable and unique relationship with our key trade partners was also highlighted and proves the strength of our dynamic brand.”
The homeworking agency’s bookings this year have surpassed those made in 2022 every month.
Harrison added: “We have disrupted the travel industry, beating faceless websites and high street competitors on service and even though 98% of our consultants have never worked in travel before, many take bookings after just five days’ training, testament to the high level of instruction and support our staff provide.”
Key innovations include the launch of a cruise division to train agents.
One homeworker, John Lehnert, reported “remarkable” results after the cruising training, selling £100,000 worth of cruises in July.
Harrison commented: “While we have experienced rapid growth in 2023, we are still looking to recruit and train more franchisees before the start of peaks.
“That is another reason why we have launched our September Recruitment Roadshow across Liverpool, Birmingham and London.”
