OTA Flightcatchers named among UK’s top companies for ‘organic growth’

Online travel agent Flightcatchers has appeared on a list of the UK’s top companies for “organic growth”.

The business is named on accountancy firm Buzzacott’s ‘Organic Growth 25’, which features companies that have achieved major revenue growth without relying on significant external investment.

Flightcatchers supplier relations director Nasser Siddiq said: “All the hard work has paid off. All the strategies we put in place during the pandemic and afterwards have come to fruition.”

The Hounslow-registered business, part of Polani Travel, is stated in the Buzzacott report as having achieved revenue growth of 94% over the most recent three-year period.

Flightcatchers’ revenue for the year ended March 31, 2019, was £53,929,089, according to Buzzacott, while the figure for the year ended March 31, 2022, was £104,376,849.

“We got off the mark quick during the pandemic and post-pandemic,” said Siddiq. “We knew as a company what we wanted to do. We recruited the right people in the right departments and we formed a very strong team.”

The business, which focuses on selling flights to the British markets, counts Pakistan, India, the UAE and Thailand among its most popular destinations.

Buzzacott’s Andy Hodgetts said: “The organic growth of Flightcatchers over the three-year period has been extremely impressive, against a backdrop of travel restrictions and increased cost of living, demonstrating the strength of their brand and offering in the market.

“Their journey should be applauded and their success reflects the importance of why we created a different type of growth list to put entrepreneur-led, organically fast-growing businesses front and centre with the Organic Growth 25.”

Flightcatchers ranked 18th on the list, which was topped by 7F Consulting following revenue growth of 514%.

Siddiq said Flightcatchers’ revenue has continued to grow since the OG25 list was published, adding that the total for the year ended March 31, 2023, stood at around £175m.
