Polish National Tourist Office appoints new UK director

The Polish National Tourist Office has appointed Dorota Wojciechowska as its new UK and Ireland director.

Her appointment comes as the tourist board plans marketing campaigns to build Poland’s image as a destination for city breaks, nature escapes and outdoor adventure.

A former head of marketing at the PNTO, Wojciechowska has extensive industry and marketing experience.

The tourist board will work with the trade, influencers and the media to promote Poland, and it plans webinars to help travel agents learn about the destination, which is on the UK’s amber travel list.

Fully vaccinated travellers currently do not have to quarantine upon arriving in Poland or when returning to the UK.

Moreover, visitors do not need to take a Covid-19 test before their departure to Poland.

Wojciechowska said: “The Polish travel industry is inspired to make travel happen again and we want to be a part of that journey by taking part in this year’s World Travel Market.

“It’s vital for us to meet face-to-face with our British partners and renew our business relationships as we look to recover.

“We are looking forward to welcoming back all foreign tourists, particularly those arriving from the UK, which is one of the reasons why I’m delighted that we’ll be promoting our key cities and regions, along with Polish tour operators, at WTM in London.”

This year’s WTM London will be on November 1-3, followed by a virtual event on November 8-9.

She replaces Iwona Bialobrzycka who has returned to Poland at the end of her fixed-term contract.
