Royal Caribbean has held its first onboard agent seminars for more than two years, with more than 100 agents taking part in a series of sessions on Anthem of the Seas.
Homeworkers, cruise specialists and high street retail agents learnt about the brand, guest experience, the entertainment offering, staterooms and dining options.
The line said the “majority” of agents were either new-to-cruise or had neither experienced nor sold its cruises before.
Agents heard from Anthem’s onboard teams, including concierges and crew who oversee the line’s Adventure Ocean youth programme.
The first Seminar at Sea took place on a two-night sailing from Southampton to Liverpool and the second trade educational event was on a three-night sailing in the reverse direction.
Each seminar day finished with agents building their own ‘perfect day’ for one of 10 guests. The winners were awarded the prize of dining in speciality restaurants, steakhouse eatery Chops Grille and Wonderland that offers ‘imaginative cuisine’.
Head of UK sales Torey Kings-Hodkin said: “Anthem is much-loved by the UK trade and we are delighted to have welcomed so many agents back on board at the end of her very successful domestic season.
“For many of our agents, this was the first event they had attended and it was amazing to see everyone enjoying Anthem.
“The event also marked an important milestone for Royal Caribbean as we continue to support our trade partners following many months of travel disruption.”
