A 28% rise in subscriptions in the half year to September helped raise European OTA eDreams Odigeo into the black.
The company reported a net profit of €1.3 million in the six months against a loss of €1.6 million in the same period last year.
The number of subscribers to its Prime service rose by more than a quarter year-on-year to 6.5 million.
Cash earnings [ebitda] grew 28% year-on-year to €81.1 million.
The company said: “As a subscription-led business, profitability is notably driven by the growing base of long-term Prime members.
“Members in their second year and beyond contribute higher value, as they increasingly turn to Prime as their go-to solution for all travel needs.”
Overall revenues topped €361.2 million in the first half, up 2%, of which 69% stemmed from the Prime business.
