Uniworld Boutique River Cruises releases new bucket-list brochures

Uniworld Boutique River Cruises has released three new “bucket-list” brochures for next year as it aims to tap in to demand for “dream holidays”.

The long-haul Spectacular Journeys programme combines river cruising and luxury touring and also features exotic itineraries.

Chris Townson, UK managing director, said: “Our striking new standalone brochures are there to support our trade partners in selling a dream holiday, which can be labour-intensive to build for vast and diverse destinations such as India and South East Asia. Our Spectacular Journeys provide a seamless and protected solution, and we will also be making these available to our partners to white label.”

The new brochures are the 108-page Spectacular Journeys of the World, Spectacular Journeys in India and 2024 Rivers of the World.

New experiences include finding out how Jordanian women making a living through traditional handicraft (Splendours of Egypt & The Nile with Jordan), seeing artisans weave colourful scarves in Varanasi (India’s Golden Triangle & the Sacred Ganges with Varanasi) and kayaking in Ha Long Bay (Timeless Wonders of Vietnam, Cambodia & the Mekong with Ha Long Bay).

The programme also features a greater number of departures for some existing itineraries.

Townson said: “At Uniworld, we are always listening to our customers and valued trade partners to ensure we are providing the most innovative and immersive holidays we can.

“There continues to be a clear trend from our discerning mature travellers for these bigger, more diverse and cultural bucket-list holidays, with famous landmarks and luxurious five-star hotels a must.”

Townson said last year was the line’s strongest-ever for long-haul bookings, adding that this year India sales have risen by 240% compared with the same period last year.

Further reasons for creating the new brochures were demand from guests for extensions, said Townson, as well as average spend growing by 40% year on year.

Townson added that the line was “really excited” to share Spectacular Journeys with trade partners.

A launch promotion means agents can offer a £1,000 saving to their clients.
