Vertical Travel Group has announced details of its 2022 overseas conference as it recognised long-serving agents at a lunch in London.
The homeworking group has taken out exclusive use of the Asimina Suites hotel in Paphos, Cyprus, for its conference in March 2022.
Homeworking agents were invited to the group’s long-standing Long Service Luncheon event in London last week to recognise their support and dedication to the business.
Some of the nine agents who attended have worked with group chief executive Peter Healey since the mid-1990s when the Instant Holidays teletext division was first established as a homeworker business – and have accumulated more than 72 years of service between them.
They are: Sue Sexton, Neil Smith, Maria Phillips, Neil Smith, Jacqui Wieksza, Carol Nelson, Jane Haughey, Maureen Murphy, Hazel Hatherley and Denise Barcessat.
Healey said: “Directors Yvonne Leslie, Sue Dennis and I thought there was an opportunity to meet and thank our most-established team members, many of whom joined me more than 20 years ago.
“It was heart-warming to hear stories of surviving the pandemic and how their businesses are now recovering with clients bursting to get away. More importantly how they support other agents within the group. It really is remarkable to be part of this extended travel family.”
Suzanne Brunt, sales manager for Your Holiday Booking, added: “This was an opportunity for the management team to thank our agents for all their hard work, dedication and support to the business over the years.
“We wanted to let them know that this does not go unrecognised and our long service get togethers will be a permanent fixture moving forward.”
