El Al Israel Airlines has announced a new route between Manchester and Tel Aviv for summer 2019.
Flights between Manchester airport and Ben Gurion airport, which serves the Israeli city, will run three times a week from May 26.
The service was announced by Michael Strassburger, the airline’s vice president of commercial and industry affairs, at World Travel Market in London.
“El Al will significantly expand its roster of destinations in Europe in 2019,” said Strassburger. “After announcing direct flights to Lisbon and Nice and the introduction of our new fare model that enables customers to choose how they want to fly and how much they want to pay, we are delighted to announce another new route.”
Yariv Levin, Israel’s minister of tourism, added: “We’re delighted that El Al will be opening up a flight path from Manchester to Tel Aviv. With more carriers flying to Israel it’s clear that there is an ever-increasing demand to visit our country.”
El Al is offering introductory one-way fares from £199, return fares from £289 and business class fares from £929.
