Princess Cruises has recruited a new sales manager for its agent-facing regional business team.
The appointment came as Princess Cruises started steel cutting of its sixth Royal class ship as part of celebrations at Fincantieri shipyards in Italy covering three new vessels.
Ellie Webb will start in her new role on March 4, manage five territory managers across the UK and report into UK & Europe sales director Rachel Poultney.
Webb will be responsible for leading the training and engagement strategy for frontline travel agents and nurturing trade relationships.
Webb has spent three years in the cruise industry and was previously regional operations manager for P&O Cruises.
Sarah-Jane Walker, who will join Virgin Voyages next month, previously held the role at Princess Cruises.
Poultney said: “Webb is an expert in cruise, she’s adept at managing regional teams and I know she has exciting plans to grow Princess Cruises through our agent partners.”
Webb said: “I’m both thrilled and humbled to be a part of the highly-regarded team at Princess Cruises.
“There are exciting times ahead for the brand and I’m looking forward to getting started.”
The news comes follows the departure of Princess Cruises’ regional business manager John Docherty for tour operators Just You and Travelsphere – which was announced in January.
