Robin Shaw, chief executive, Saga Travel, said: “Maria Whiteman has decided to leave Saga at the end of the Summer to take up a new role with Next Generation Travel.
“This is an exciting opportunity for Maria as in her new role she will be working for a privately-owned business, managing six market-leading brands based in different UK locations. This role will also give her the opportunity to focus on a different sector of the travel market.
“In her two and a half years with Saga, Maria has had a significant impact on Saga Holidays and has been critical to shaping the strategy, which we continue to be fully committed to.
“I would like to thank Maria for her considerable contribution to the business and wish her every success in her future role.”
