Tui Blue has announced it will grow its hotel portfolio to more than 100 properties.
The brand outlined plans to be “the biggest leisure hotel brand in the world” earlier this year, targeting markets where it had no presence.
From next summer, it will operate 97 hotels in 18 countries, but Tui said there are further hotels in the pipeline.
Erik Friemuth, managing director of Tui Hotels & Resorts, said: “In (the) future, Tui Blue will cater for more than one million customers per year, contributing to the brand’s strong global footprint.
“Thanks to our ambitious growth strategy, we also have further hotels in our pipeline and will soon exceed the 100 hotel mark.”
Tui hotel brands Sensimar and Family Life were moved to the Tui Blue range earlier this year as part of the group’s hotel growth strategy.
The brand is also working on sustainable initiatives, including saving water, lowering the carbon emission per guest per night, reducing single-use plastic items, sourcing locally produced food items, recruiting local staff and achieving sustainability certification.
