Hays Independent Group member Book2Go Travel has been forced to close in the face of a trading downturn.
The ABTA member agency based in St Annes on Sea, Lancashire, will cease trading today. All forward bookings will be transferred to Hays IG and liabilities continue to be met, the company said.
Owner Colin Hetherington said: “Like many, we continue to experience poor trading in the aftermath of recession; knowing when to call it a day is a difficult judgement, but despite substantial advertising and investment in technology we are seeing minimal improvement in trading and have little cause for optimism.
“We have reluctantly decided to cease trading in an orderly, honourable fashion whilst still able to control that process.”
