Coronavirus: British Airways extends China flight cancellations

British Airways has extended the cancellation of flights to mainland China by more than a month due to coronavirus concerns.

The airline announced cancellations to Beijing and Shanghai last week until February 23.

The suspension of the two services has now been extended until April 1 following the Foreign Office’s continued advice against all but essential travel to mainland China.

Flights to and from Hong Kong remain unaffected.

BA is continuing to review flights to China beyond April 1.

“This situation will remain under review and we will continue to provide regular updates. If you have a booking with us, please make sure we have your contact details,” the airline said.

“We’ll do everything we can to help customers affected.”
