Vertical Systems has developed new systems to help travel agents take contactless payments and manage calls in multiple formats including video.
The travel technology company expects agents to crave the flexibility to work from any location on any device as the world emerges from the coronavirus pandemic.
VSL PAY has been developed as a contactless ‘pay by link’ solution allowing a travel agent to send a secure payment link to a customer by text or email.
Once payment is made the agent will receive an instant alert to proceed with their booking.
Vertical has also developed VSL CALL, an online telephony solution allowing users to manage video and voice calls, live chat, video conferencing, and which has a reporting suite.
Back office systems have also been added to Vertical’s Tarsc system to help agents generate refund credit notes and quickly make rebookings.
The Credit Note Facility allows agents to issue credit notes directly from an existing customer file, and the Re-booking Tool lets agents amend existing customer departure dates and financials without reloading and re-keying data.
Managing director Chris North said: “We decided not to furlough our programming and development teams to take the opportunity to develop new software and further enhance our existing software so our customers are armed with a unique set of tools when they get back to business as the lockdown eases.
“We have been operating since 1981 and are the original creators of homeworking. We feel that our product suite allows you to operate your business efficiently and effectively regardless of your location.”
