Tui UK’s all-inclusive Holiday Villages family resort concept marks its 20th anniversary this summer.
The eight resorts offer varied dining options, including buffet and a la carte restaurants, snack bars and ice cream, as wells clubs for children activities and evening entertainment.
The operator is marking 20 years of operating the resorts by releasing the results of poll of parents which found that the average British families go on three breaks a year, with almost half (46%) of parents admitting that they take their children on more family holidays now than they went they were the same age.
A water park (42%), breakfast buffet (41%) and access to child-friendly food (41%) all feature highly as essential elements for a family holiday.
In addition, four in ten (37%) say an adventure playground has to be part of a perfect family holiday.
A good choice of restaurants (37%), unlimited ice cream (36%), an all-inclusive resort (34%), a pool with a shallow end for small children (33%), giant pool inflatables (25%), live music (25%) and making holiday friends (25%) also make the top 30 checklist.
One in six (18%) believe that keeping children entertained at an all-day club is paramount, while 15% think a daily siesta is essential.
