TOUR operator systems supplier Travelink has appointed Ceri Jones to the newly created position of chairman.
Jones was head of finance at Aspro Tours and its charter airline Inter European Airways in the late 1980s, before it was bought by Airtours.
He has been group financial director at textile company Hicking Pentecost for the past 10 years.
Jones is investing an undisclosed sum in Travelink himself and introducing new outside capital into the business.
Managing director David Jones, who was head of information technology at Aspro when Ceri Jones worked there, remains in the same position.
Meanwhile, Travelink has changed its corporate branding in order to give it a more user-friendly feel.
The company has also introduced a new strapline – ‘Forward Thinking’.
The redesigned logo will be rolled out during the second quarter of the year.
