Inside Travel Group donates £41,000 to Family Holiday Charity

Inside Travel Group, parent of the InsideJapan and InsideAsia brands, has donated £41,000 to the Family Holiday Charity.

Providing much-needed holidays, breaks and day trips to struggling UK families, the Family Holiday Charity is the first beneficiary of the group’s ‘Giving Back’ scheme.

Simon King, Inside Travel Group’s co-founder, said: “We love putting together amazing trips and experiences for our customers, but we also know that not everyone is able to get time away – often especially the people who need it most.

“The Family Holiday Charity is therefore a natural choice for us and fits with our B Corp commitment to use business as a force for good.”

Co-founder Alastair Donnelly added: “Since choosing Family Holiday Charity in 2020 as our UK Giving Back partner, we’ve built up our relationship with them through staff fundraising and learning about the work they do.

“This donation follows a highly successful 2023 when we looked after thousands of customers taking our cultural adventure trips across Japan and Asia.”

Mags Rivett, Family Holiday Charity director, commented: “This very generous donation is vital to supporting the charity to continue in its mission and be here for years to come to support more families.

“We are keen to make sure families are able to take a break from the everyday issues – something we believe is essential to every family’s wellbeing, not only offering confidence but also hope for the future.

“We’ll continue our work to break down barriers to participation in travel and tourism, so more families are able to experience the benefits for themselves.”

The donation to the Family Holiday Charity is the first under Inside Travel Group’s ‘Giving Back’ commitment and will be followed by similar donations from the group in the US, Australia, and Japan, where it also has branches.

King added: “We are thankful that we are in the position to be able to make a significant contribution and a positive impact on the lives of families who really deserve a holiday.

“We believe that travel is an enriching force for good that everyone should have access to, and we will continue to do what we can to help charities like Family Holiday Charity and the people they support.”
