The Advantage Travel Partnership has announced Sophie Morgan as moderator for its 2025 annual conference in Malta (May 13-15).
Her role at the event has been announced ahead of International Women’s Day (March 8), as the consortium aims to highlight her work, along with that of other inspiring women who will be speaking at Advantage events.
Morgan, a broadcaster, author and disability advocate, has fronted The Paralympics, Loose Women and Channel 4’s Living Wild.
She has most recently appeared as the face of Channel 4’s show ‘Fight to Fly’ and aims to inspire change and inclusivity across the travel industry.
Morgan has also recently launched a ‘Rights on Flights’ campaign and has been voted as one of the Top 10 most influential people with a disability in the UK.
Julia Lo Bue-Said, Advantage chief executive, said: “Sophie embodies everything that could be associated with International Women’s Day and is truly a force to be reckoned with.
“Her approach to life is incredible, facing challenges with unwavering determination and transforming obstacles into opportunities with remarkable grace.
“The wisdom and experiences she will share with our delegates in Malta will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact, empowering them to embrace their own potential and drive positive change in their communities and beyond.”
Ahead of International Women’s Day, Advantage is also showcasing other inspiring women who are also speaking at the BTA/Advantage Travel Partnership Corporate Travel Summit in London later this week, including Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson DBE; Jenny Southan, founder of Globetrender; Justine Baynes, chief executive of British Wheelchair Basketball; and Rachel Tonge, SME client management vice-president at American Express Global Business Travel.
Mehreen Khan, economics editor of The Times in London and Sarah Blumenau, communication practitioner working with leaders, groups and organisations from the public, private and ambassador for the charity ADHD UK, have also been announced as speakers at Advantage’s conference in May.
“We couldn’t think of more fitting speakers to highlight the spirit of International Women’s Day, and we look forward to the invaluable insights” said Lo Bue-Said.
“Those who know me well will know that I am passionate about promoting inspiring talent and creating lasting opportunities for people. 75% of my current leadership team consists of exceptional female talent, and across our business over 75% of our workforce is female.
“This representation isn’t just about numbers – it reflects our commitment to creating an environment where woman can thrive, and having the best people in role, leading and shaping the future leaders of the travel industry.”
