The Association of Touring and Adventure Suppliers (Atas) has announced Betty Mukherjee, from BBC’s Race Across the World series four, will speak at next month’s annual conference.
She and her brother James won third place in the show that aired earlier this year, competing in the 50-day race from Japan to Indonesia.
Viewers also discovered social media and events manager Betty was diagnosed with MRKH (Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser) Syndrome, having no uterus or womb and only one kidney.
Since completing the show, Betty has become a sought-after speaker, sharing her experiences and insights with organisations such as ASOS, Sky and NHS Scotland.

Her talks focus on the power of travel as a means of personal growth, self-discovery and overcoming adversity.
Betty says she “passionately advocates for the transformative impact” that travel can have on mental and emotional well-being.
Claire Brighton, Atas director, said: “I am delighted that Betty will be joining our great line-up of conference speakers.
“Her adventurous spirit and wanderlust captivated viewers and it will be fascinating to hear about her experiences on the show and her other travel exploits.
“She shares content on social media about travel, health and fitness, and food, encouraging her followers to live to the full – with positivity and resilience.
“Our conference theme is ‘connect’ and Betty certainly personifies that concept as she connected with viewers earlier this year – so I’m looking forward to seeing her connect with our delegates in Leeds.”
Other speakers already announced for the conference include James Thornton, chief executive of Intrepid Travel, and adventurer Saunders Carmichael-Brown, who is being sponsored by Atas member AE Expeditions as he is a guest speaker on cruise line’s ships.
The annual Atas conference takes place on October 15-16 at the Royal Armouries, Leeds.
