Internet service to boost late-availability sales

CLUB Travel 2000 has launched an Internet service that allows agents to download late availability.

The service enables retailers to convert data into text files for use on their intranet and Internet sites. Details can also be printed as window cards.

Club Travel 2000’s information technology director Graham Currey said: “This is a very quick, easy and cost-effective method of data transfer.”

The operator is also planning to introduce e-mail distribution of the files.

Agents have welcomed the move – six-branch Runway Travel Warehouse said it will supply them with more up-to-date late availability.

Runway Travel chairman Steve Miller said: “Our finger is much more on the pulse. Each of our branches can receive data instantaneously.”
