n gandalf offers free transfer to milan


Gandalf Airlines, the new independent Italian airline that operates twice-daily flights between London City and Milan Orio, is offering a free minibus transfer to the Italian city’s centre for all of its UKpassengers.


n shareholders to receive free flights


British Regional Airlines is offering shareholders free flights. A person who holds 5,000 shares or more is entitled to a return flight once a year. Companions qualify for a 10% discount.


n air 2000 installs first gatwick simulator


Air 2000 has put the first cabin simulator at Gatwick into operation. The simulator, part of a £1.6m training investment, will be used to train 1,600 Air 2000 crew from across UKand Ireland. The company will also lease the facility to other airlines.


n Bangkok airways uses aviareps for UK


Bangkok Airways has appointed Aviareps to handle its UK sales and marketing activity. The Thai airline flies between Thailand, Singapore, Laos and Cambodia.


n demand made for new london runways


London’s airports must be allowed to build new runways and terminal facilities, an influential business group has told the Government. The London Chamber of Commerce is demanding BAA receives a commitment from Labour to begin work on a third runway at Heathrow and a second at Gatwick. The group is backing a £1.8bn fifth terminal at Heathrow.


n liverpool airport predicts growth


Liverpool Airport has forecast it will handle 2m passengers this year, up from 1.3m last year. Extra EasyJet flights are fuelling the growth.
